Please join us in the new year for a Mental health event hosted by the LBGT Caucus: featuring Ariana Golchin, PA-C, and special guest PA guest Mercedes Dodge, PA-C, MPAS, CAQ Psychiatry from the Association of PAs in psychiatry (APAP).
They will discuss mental health, navigating boundaries, avoiding burnout, and more!

We understand that discussing mental health can be a vulnerable, triggering, and difficult topic. We welcome all members of the PA community in this space to feel heard, seen, validated, and respected.
Speakers
Ariana Golchin, PA-C currently serving as an inpatient hospital medicine locum provider, brings extensive experience from diverse clinical settings and PA education. In addition to her clinical roles, Ariana is a dedicated advocate for mental health, contributing to community education and national presentations. Her passion for mental health advocacy and destigmatization is evident in her leadership of impactful projects. Ariana also serves on the board of directors for the LBGTA PA Caucus and acts as an ambassador for the NCCPA, showcasing her commitment to advancing healthcare inclusivity and excellence.
Mercedes Dodge, PA-C, MPAS, CAQ-Psychiatry is a seasoned Psychiatric PA-C, who has worked in Family Medicine, Pediatric Medicine, Urgent Care, Women’s Health, and Psychiatry, specializing in outpatient, residential, and higher levels of care. With a background in Psychology and Biology from Rice University and an M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley, she serves as Adjunct Faculty at South University and holds pivotal roles in telemedicine. In an outpatient telemedicine office, PA Dodge provides psychiatric assessment and management for the Alaska population. She also has provided psychiatric medical services to adults and children in detox, residential centers, and inpatient treatment centers. PA Dodge, recognized as the Outstanding PA of the Year in 2023 by the Texas Academy of PAs, has showcased exemplary leadership throughout her career. Serving as Lead Clinician, she spearheaded and implemented initiatives and process improvements for large community clinic organizations, introducing an integrative collaborative care model, launching system-wide screenings, and providing essential psychiatry training programs to therapists and primary care clinicians. PA Dodge's leadership extends to her roles at both local and state PA organizations, including positions such as Director at Large, President, Vice President, Secretary, and Director in Diversity. Most recently served as President for PAs in Virtual Medicine and Telemedicine and currently continues to serve as Secretary for the Association of PAs in Psychiatry.
